Creating slide shows and picture presentations

With the PicturePlayer software package you can create sound-supported slide shows and picture presentations from your digital pictures. It's fast and incredibly easy.

The Player that is included in the package has been optimized for use on CD / DVDs and the full version lets you copy the Player onto the image data-storage medium. You can allocate a text passage and/or sound to each picture as a option. This means, then, that you can create really impressive slide shows at the drop of a hat.

The software package also includes the "ShowCreator". This program is for creating and configuring shows and for administrating the picture files. It encompasses the following main functions: picture browsing, picture ordering, copying, sorting, comparing and re-naming.

Tidy up your picture files. Its integrated picture browser has been designed to make managing your pictures child play. Using its drag & drop feature, you can move or copy files into any folder or allocate a name prefix to all highlighted files in order to create file names that actually mean something with a minimum of effort.

  • Creating picture presentations and slide shows with text, sound and fade-in effects as an option.
  • The Player will start from a CD without having to install it and you are permitted to distribute it on data mediums (CD/DVD etc.) provided you hold a license for the full version.
  • Using the ShowCreator to manage digital pictures.
  • You can scramble or password-protect your images.
  • You can also create a html web show from your slide show.

PicturePlayer highlights

Given that slide show programs are a dime a dozen what makes PicturePlayer a good choice?

PicturePlayer is an excellent choice if:

  • You want to create a slide show on CD/DVD
  • You would like to add sound to your images
  • You would like to allocate an info-text passage to each image
  • You want to protect your images with a coder
  • You're looking for a program that's easy to use

Easy to use

PicturePlayer has also been designed with non-computer experts in mind. Creating a picture show couldn't be easier. Copy PicturePlayer into the image folder and you're done (this is the most simple approach). Use this approach and you'll not need the handbook! On the other hand, if you want to set the show's parameters to suit your own individual needs, you can do this too. You don't even have to copy PicturePlayer into each image folder, because it can be controlled with its own show file.

Optimized for use on CD/DVD ROMs

PicturePlayer does not have to be installed on the target system, because it does not use its own DLLs or registry entries. This means that PicturePlayer image CDs can be started on all Windows PCs (32 Bit), including on NT systems provided administration rights are not in place.

PicturePlayer uses relative path addresses, meaning that the show will run even if your CD ROM drive letter changes.

PicturePlayer takes the size of the monitor on the target system into account, meaning that the show can still be enjoyed if it's moved suddenly from a generous 19 inch 1280 x 1024 monitor to a 15 inch 800 x 600 monitor.

Picture size adjustment: The size of the picture is displayed according to the player window, meaning that larger pictures are automatically reduced in size.

Read ahead: In order to achieve faster image loading times, PicturePlayer will load the next picture in advance while the present image is still being viewed.
